Mr. Salil Kanika

Mr. Salil Kanika is a multiform artist and the founder of Earthbeat, an art project to reach out to the society with the involvement of underprivileged children and conscious artists.

He has been actively involved with the children of Mitrata Nepal for the past several years providing them with various opportunities to take part in his art and musical projects. He has organized many innovative Didgeridoo making and playing workshops to enrich the children with creative experiences. The children deeply enjoy participating in his projects and are very fond of his presence.

We are very grateful to Mr. Salil Kanika for his unconditional love and support for the children of Mitrata Nepal and his continuous enthusiasm to cultivate talents and creative skills in our children.

 


Dr Christine Schutz,

Dr Christine Schutz

'Dr. Christine Schutz is a psychologist in private practice and serves as the Dean of Student Services at Logan University in St. Louis , Missouri . She teaches clinical psychology and mindfulness meditation practice. Christine travels to Nepal annually to manage program development and to take groups of sponsors/donors on cultural tours. She volunteers her time to locate sponsors and link them with children on a personal one-to-one basis and serves as the executive director for Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children, Inc. in the USA'.

 

 


Christiane Scheffler,
Germany

Christiane and Nanda met for the first time in 1996. Soon their bond grew into a strong friendship within a short period of time. When Nanda told her about establishing Mitrata Home, she immediately lent her full support to her. Christiane has been very crucial in raising funds for Mitrata in Germany and has personally sponsored Mitrata Children as well. She frequently visits Mitrata Home and has developed a strong relation with all the Mitrata children and considers them as part of her family. Of Mitrata Home, she says “Mitrata home is a very special place on earth, it touches my heart all the time”.
