Rudra Benefit Tour Switzerland 2011

Rudra Band, Shyam Nepali, Babu Raja Maharjan and Raman Maharjan. In association with Thomas Bertschi, initiator of the Culture Bridge Nepal – Switzerland the three musicians organized a concert tour through Switzerland in August/September 2011. They play fusion concerts with various Swiss musicians, building colorful bridges from culture to culture, heart to
heart, from mountain to mountain. The income of this tour will help to pay the musical education for the children of Mitrata Children home.

Film IRIK – Imagine Rainbow in Kathmandu, Along with the concerts of the Rudra Swiss tour also the film IRIK will be shown: In the year 2006 during turbulent political changes in Nepal, around 100 children, also from Mitrata Childrenhome, were joined by musicians and artists to play with music and colors.

Imagine Rainbow, Culture Bridge Nepal – Switzerland. Cooperations such as the Rudra tour Switzerland 2011 are an example for a cultural exchange, which is the focus of the Culture Bridge Nepal - Switzerland. The earnings of promotion events, donations and concerts by Nepalese and Swiss musicians and the sale of the DVD/CDs are used for cultural projects. The Culture Bridge initiates and finances music classes for children and buys instruments.
